What follows now and in the next few posts is a picture history of our past 12 months.
Our amazing snow day.... Yes, we had 1/2" of snowfall that closed nearly all schools, businesses, and major highways in the metro area. True, there was a sheet of ice under the faint snow that managed to stick to the ground. What a heyday it was!
Here is a taste of something new... Yum! African caterpillars.
We participated in a fundraising event for Mothers Without Borders. In honor of the amazing success in raising money for a new schoolhouse in Zambia (where James' parents served their first of three LDS missions), we enjoyed an authentic African meal at our home with the family that organized the fundraiser here. We cooked up four different relishes to eat with nshima, and our guests fed us caterpillars as a side dish with a non-African dessert that was quite yummy.
