I used to be a conference junkie: CES Seminary Symposium/Conference, Education Week, Family Expo, homeschooling conferences, etc. Now, I get my fix with an annual mecca to BYU for Women's Conference. Going with my mom, my sister, my daughter, and my in-law equivalents makes it the ultimate, the zenith, the epitome of non-General Conference conferences! What I like best besides the fantastic companionship/reunion of loved ones and the awesome deliverances by seasoned presenters is doing humanitarian aid projects while you listen. This year I crocheted a scarf and edged a baby receiving blanket.
A definite highlight was having President Thomas S. Monson speak at the closing session. His three points were to find joy in the journey, to embrace the opportunities for growth that come from adversity, and to give service with love and kindness. Also, Sheri Dew gave an edifying and inspiring address. She's a personal hero.
